55 High St.
☺ Gorgeous place with lots of room! Our family stayed here for two days while exploring Hastings and we loved it. Comfortable, clean and excellent location. The rooftop terrace, huge kitchen and spa bath tub in one of the bathrooms were definitely favourites during our stay. I would highly recommend it for families wanting a place near the old town and the beach.
☺ It was such a unique, modern property. We loved staying here. It was bright, airy, spacious and fantastically equipped. The location is perfect for anyone travelling here, as a family we were so close to the beach, arcade, aquarium and a multitude of places to go for food. We have stayed in Gastings quite a few time now and this is by far our favourite property. The kids are already asking when we can go back!
☺ Excellent accommodation … loved the decor, facilities and position. One of the best properties we have stayed in. Particularly enjoyed sitting on the lovely balcony.
☹ Parking facilities but understand this is a problem with Hastings in general and is not the owners fault.
☺ great layout, the large kitchen/dining room was perfect for for ur extended family. the kids loved that there was a tv in their bedroom too.
☺ it was very well furnished and located
☹ advertised as 4 bedrooms. it is only 3!!
☹Het geringe aantal handdoeken en keukendoeken.
☺ THE LOCATION IS FAB THE PLACE IS WAY PAST OUR EXPEC TIONS WELL DONE VERY NICE INDEED....
CAR PARKING BIT OF A NITEMARE BUT STILL GREAT...
THANKS BOOKING.COM FOR YOUR RECOMMONDATION ITS GREAT....
☹ ACCESS NOT OWNERS BUT BOOKING.COM.....
☺ The property had all we need for our stay: very comfortable beds, very well equipped kitchen, 3 bathroom (for a family of 5 it's amazing!), beautiful design in each room, very comfortable living room and a lot of space.
It was cleaned and with all we needed for our stay. The house is in the main street of Hastings Old Town, close to shops (the bakery few doors down was amazing!) and very convenient to access to the beach/promenade and to walk up to the hills.
☹ the only downside was the parking. We parked the car at a nearby car park for 9£ per day, but we couldn't leave the car there for more than 24 hours, so we had to move it once a day and find another car park
This spacious apartment comprises of 3 bedrooms, all with king size beds, one with an en-suite, and a double sofa bed in the lounge. Each bedroom has its own smart TV. There are 2 separate bathrooms as well. It sleeps 6 comfortably with the sofa bed bringing it up to 8.
The large open plan lounge, kitchen, diner area is the perfect space for relaxing, with the addition of a log burner for those colder days. The large table comfortably sits 8. There is a fully equipped kitchen if you want to stay in and cook, although the Old Town has a wealth of fine eateries (the apartment is next door to one of the finest … the pork belly bites at Porters are a must).
Quite literally the cherry on top … the spacious roof terrace. With gorgeous views of the Old Town, the sea, the famous fishing huts and the East Hill (with the steepest funicular railway in the UK!), this really is simply a delightful place to be.

The kitchen has all the facilities you’d expect, with lovely views of the garden (and some great people watching on the High St) through the sash window.

And finally, tucked away in the cosy end, the lounge. Sofas (one can be made into a sofa-bed, ideal for movies), log burner, large TV on the wall. What more do you need for a cosy evening in?

The Garden
Entrance to the apartment very secure gate (with number keypad), through the private garden, then up a flight of stairs to the raised decking area with rattan seating.
For those interested in a bit of history, there is plenty to be found here. It is said that the Duke of Wellington once hid in the basement of the building that once stood on this site (now the sunken area with the boat seat and picnic bench), and there are visible areas of a medieval wall of archaeological significance. See History for more info.
Whether interested in how it came to be or not, there’s no denying it’s a gorgeous retreat from the hubbub of the High St, with the raised decking area getting the sun right through to mid afternoon. Oh, and you get your very own enormous pirate graffiti to admire while you’re at it.
The Roof Terrace
The proverbial cherry on top. The sun lounge with it’s two sofas is a relaxing place to be rain or shine (or storm!). From this room the large bi-fold doors take you out to the roof terrace where you can chill on the rattan sofas, bathe on the sun loungers or simply stand and admire the views (sea, Winkle Island, the fishing huts, East Hill just being some of the highlights).
